DAY OF PRAYER FOR VOCATIONS: Good Shepherd Sunday, April
30, is our annual Day of Prayer for Vocations to priesthood and the
religious life. Have you recently considered taking the risk to follow in
the footsteps of Jesus in that way? If so, you are invited to the National
Seminary, St Patrick’s College, Maynooth, on Tuesday April 25 to attend
a special conference on evangelisation and vocations in Ireland today.
Archbishop Rino Fisichella, Pro Prefect of the Vatican’s Dicastery for
Evangelisation, will be the keynote speaker. Please register directly at

National Vocations Office at eric.cooney@iecon.ie. There is no charge for
attending but places are limited. On the following Sunday, 6th May, the
Lay Ministry Collection will replace the usual Share collection at our
Masses. This goes to support the development of a variety of lay
ministries in our Diocese, providing more trained women and men to
work alongside our priests and deacons.
